I love CSI Miami & have every Season in my collection. The characters really got a workout! I was getting exhausted watching them run after all the suspects. Whew!

Although I feel the past seasons were somwwhat better, this was a good one; sans some of the scenes which were a little hard to watch, from a woman's point of view.

I hated seeing that handsome Jesse Cardoza get killed off, though. Walter Simmons aced that scene playing the grieving best friend.

I applaud the staff of CSI Miami for keeping me glued to my seat with every episode. Evey entertaining!

Thanks, Amazon for always surprising me with the prompt deliveries. I applaud you as well.

I like this series. I did notice while watching the DVD that has arrived now that H has really changed. Perhaps I noticed this when watching it on line, but I think it just hit me more when watching the season on DVD recently. All the characters seem to be changing, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I do hope they'll show what happened to H's son in the future season's shows. I know he went back over to fight in the war, but they haven't come back to say what has happened to him of late. That would be nice to know and something I wish they had covered in this season as well.

      4.0 out of 5 stars Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes..., September 11, 2010
This review is from: CSI: Miami - The Eighth Season (DVD)
After ending a pretty great 7th season, Season Eight had turned around 360 and started to disappoint. Two newcomers to the CSI Miami team, Eddie Cibrian as "Jesse Cardoza" and Omar Miller as "Walter Simmons" made little improvement as the cast began to expand while veteran Adam Rodriguez (Eric Delko) appeared off and on in several episodes while filming the final season of Ugly Betty and the film Tyler Perry's "I Can Do Bad All By Myself". This season, the characters explore the world of cougar women, a company's legal terms with insurance policies, a meth lab explosion, a Hannah Montana-like homicide, the murder of an unpopular office receptionist, an arranged marriage gone wrong, a complete crossover of all CSI series including Las Vegas & New York, and a bag of diamonds gone missing from the evidence locker. As lives are threatened, as one of the CSI members gets accused for something they didn't do, as Horatio's son Kyle (played by Evan Ellingson) returns from the war with a... Read more

this Season of CSI: Miami did not dissapoint. It was full of action and creative plots. I like the new characters and the way they chose to introduce them. I thought the inclusion of Horatio's son was great too. If you think it is getting old and tired, watch these and you will see that CSI: Miami is still Bringing it!

Don't have to say much about it, if you've seen CSI you know what I mean. I got this for my father, he has the collection and it's great. Good quality video.

"Jumped the Shark" is a saying coined from the old Happy Days show. When Arthur Fonzarelli jumped a shark wearing his trademark leather jacket, it was a sign that the show had run out of ideas and had turned to lunacy. First I should say that I am a CSI Miami and David Caruso (Horatio Caine) fan. I thoroughly enjoyed Season 6 with the Brazilian twist. Who can forgot Caine shooting it up in Rio, and his one liner "That's how we do it in Miami." Cool stuff.

Unfortunately, something went terribly wrong in Season 7. The stories are not well written, the character's lines are awkward and simplistic, and things turn a bit pointless. I do not blame the actors, since clearly they have proven themselves capable of greater things. It is quite simply the writers... time to clean house and get some fresh talent. Or perhaps this was already done, and the new talent is simply lacking. Whatever the reason, Season 7 is not up the standards of previous seasons. One specific complaint I... Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Who is the intended audience?, January 10, 2010
        Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: CSI: Miami - The Seventh Season (DVD)
I used to enjoy this series, but, with Season 7, the flaws which were hidden away in the series have come perilously close to eclipsing the enjoyment factor. Primary wondering: Who is the intended audience? The series used to have some level of intelligence about it, but is steadily sliding into the vast void of clichés.

** All women must be of the cookie cutter variety. Stiletto heels? For crime scenes? Come on! It appears one plastic surgeon was contracted for the whole series. Make-up (and tons of it!) and hair styles the same. Beaches and pools filled with hordes of the same few bodies, done a hundred times over. Older lead guy can only be in relationships with pitiful, and/or neurotic, anorexic youngsters. This pretty much demeans everyone -- audience, actors, writers, producers.
** Appearance of Woodwork Family. Yawn. When shows are losing their edge, all of a sudden the previously non-existent family appears out of the woodwork. The... Read more

This review is from: CSI: Miami - The Seventh Season (DVD)
Spoilers Ahead!!! What an interesting season! In the very first episode of the season, we find out who wants Horatio Caine (David Caruso) dead and in the final episode, Eric Delko (Adam Rodriguez) has disappeared with his devious father. Both Horatio's son Kyle (Evan Ellingson) and Eric get thrown into jail,a new coroner named Dr. Tara Price (Megalyn Echikunwoke) turns out to have an addiction to Oxycodone pain killer pills, Eric and Calleigh Duquesne have a blooming relationship with each other, Yelina Salas (Sofia Milos) returns undercover, Horatio's mortal enemy Ron Saris (Kim Coates) turns out to be married to Horatio's ex Julia Winston (Elizabeth Berkley), Natalia Boa Vista (Eva La Rue) was lucky enough this season to not have so much of the drama focused on her, and Ryan Wolfe (Jonathan Togo) was forced to betray his team within the entire season's swirl and hinting of the Russian Mob's constant tabs on the team's every move. The crimes have become more intriguing from a con man... Read more
